One GREAT Veterinarian

Life often requires you to put faith into your higher power when dealing with uncertainty. Sometimes the answers you seek result in tears. Sometimes they result in tears of joy.

After nearly a year of monitoring and wondering, and a month of intense stress, patience and fear, we headed to a NEW vet today to have a small lump aspirated on Yosemite’s chest.

Having lost my previous #Labrador to #cancer this was NO EASY moment to face. Thanks to the support of close friends, family and the incredible love and care by #CuyamacaAnimalHospital, Dr. Martin and her staff were quick to relieve my anxiety.

From the moment we walked through the doors, there was a serene and friendly vibe and I knew we were in a VERY special place. ❤️🙏🐶

I had to give “Yose-MIGHTY” #trazadone for the test cause she’s a ball of energy 😂...Of course the recommended dose didn’t phase her, and so I arrived with a dog who was definitely NOT sedated for her exam lol. 🤦‍♀️

The last vet wouldn’t even attempt an aspirate without sedation. Instead they immediately suggested we skip aspiration and quoted me $700 for removal.

Dr. Martin fed #Yosemite treats, chatted with her AND me lol seeing how nervous I was. She took the time to establish a bond with her. There was never a feeling of being rushed or I’ve got another patient waiting in the next room.

Needless to say she had zero problems performing the #aspirate and pulling out cells to check under the scope.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen this level and love from a #veterinarian, and I’ve seen my share of them over the years.

Long story short, there ARE great vets out there who DON’T look at you like a dollar signs. #DrMartin is one of them and a true gem in her field.

Perhaps the BEST NEWS of the day...A conclusive look under the scope yielded the mass was a lipoma with fat cells and nothing to be overly concerned about. 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I cried tears of joy this evening and am so blessed we get to spend ALOT more time together 🙏❤️🐶😍

GREAT service ALWAYS deserves a referral in my book. Consider this post mine for anyone in need of a good vet in the #SanDiego area.
