So I had this amazing dream a few months back...It involved spending time with my best friend EVERY DAY (she’s a Labrador by the way) while utilizing the gifts and skill sets I have, to HELP OTHERS create and live THEIR dreams! When the dream ended, I woke up.
I woke up to the realization that the only thing holding me back from LIVING that dream, was fear. I woke up to the fact that no matter how hard I worked or how much value I added in the corporate world, I would always be chasing “paper,” instead of a more gratifying reward that was within reach, PURPOSE.
I woke up to remember WHY “being of service, giving back, harnessing gratitude, and helping others is ingrained in my DNA. Having proudly served our country and many other companies over the years, it became clear two months ago, it was time for a change.
It was time to focus on the 3 things I’m most passionate about in life:
Design, Photography & Dogs!
While the timing of this decision may seem less than favorable, I’m confident that learning to trust in a higher power and letting go of things I can’t control will guide me. Challenges seem to find me where I go, so it’s fitting this journey won’t be any different. As we say in the Marine Corps, it’s time to “adapt and overcome!”
With that said, I’m excited to announce, today was my last day at my 7 ½ year career in the corporate world. I am now a proud small business owner of Shellz Dezign Photography & Dogs. Based in Ramona, I look forward to providing one-stop shop design and photography services, artwork to captivate your senses, and customized quality pet care services.

In closing, I’d like to express my gratitude for the many opportunities that helped me get here, and the inspiring connections and friendships I’ve made both in business and personally.
To all my amazing supportive colleagues, friends and clients, Thank you. Your support, encourage, and education has undoubtedly helped propel me to this very moment. I will miss you all dearly and look forward to reconnecting post Covid-19.
As for my new business model, it looks a little like this:
